The Player Auction section is open all season round.
A player that has been put up for sale, will have a deadline of exactly 72 hrs, during which other teams can bid on him.
Bidding is closed only when there is no bid for the last 3 min. before the deadline. The deadline is appropriately extended incase there is a bid in the last 3 min.
If no team bids on the player, then the player stays with the old team.
If a player is sold for a price much higher than is recommended price then the transfer is reviewed by the 'Transfer Review Commission'. A certain part of the fee is released to the selling team immediately (1.5 times the Recommended price), but the rest of the money may be fully or partly withheld. The amount released is based on the selling price of similar players. The Buying team does not get any money back. This way the TRC reduces the imbalance that may be caused due to a rash bid by a team.
Important: Asking your friends to make inflated bids on your players or the existance of teams whose sole purpose is to help you succeed in Hitwicket will be considered as 'cheating'. Teams are either fined in excess of 1 Million or banned from the game itself in such cases.

Previous Team Fee (PTF)
Teams will have to pay an additional fee to the previous club when re-selling a player, depending on how long the player spent at your club.
A PTF of 80% of the profit will be applied on each player on day 0 and drops by 1% with each passing day. i.e., if Team A buys a player from Team B for 100,000 and sells to Team C after 10 days for 150,000, then Team B is entitled to a PTF of 70 % of 50,000 (the profit).
If Team A decides to wait 80 days before selling, then they do not have to pay any PTF at all.
