Training is extremely important for the growth of your team. Weekly training is calculated for players on Saturday from 9am to 12pm. The selected 'Training Focus' at that instant is used in the calculations. Upgrading training facilities increases training speed.Only players who play in at least a single match in a week will get trained. Playing both matches will not provide additional training to the player. The younger the player, the faster he trains. The higher the player's level at a particular skill, the slower it will improve with training. Players lose skills gradually as they grow older than 30 years. Players lose some fitness every week depending on their age. The loss is negligible for a young player and significant for players above 30.
fitness training
If you have chosen fitness as your training criteria for a week, all players who played a league match for that week will improve in fitness training. Therefore, if you have fielded a completely different lineup in each of the matches, 22 players will get trained in fitness.
However, if any player(s) play both league matches in the week, they will NOT get additional training.
However, if any player(s) play both league matches in the week, they will NOT get additional training.
WICKET KEEPING & fielding training
The players who are the designated 'Wicket Keepers' in either of your matches in the week will improve in their 'Wicket Keeping skill. So you can train a max of 2 wicket keepers every week. All players who play a match during the week improve in their Fielding. Therefore, if you field a completely different set of players for both matches in the week, 22 players get trained. If any player(s) play both league matches in a week, they do NOT get trained extra.
Batting training
- Only players who bat at positions #1, #3 and #5 in the batting order of a match will get training.
All six players who play at positions #1 , #3 and #5 in the 2 weekly matches will get training for the week. However if players 'A','B' and 'C' play both matches at positions #1, #3 & #5, they still receive only a week's worth of training, NOT MORE. Therefore it is optimal to play different players in both matches, to make sure 6 of your players get trained.
Training is based purely on match orders, so even if a batsman does not get a chance to bat during the match, he receives training as long as he's scheduled to bat at position #1, #3 or #5.
- They are of 3 types based on the distribution of their skill increase every week. All 3 types of training will lead to an equal improvement of the overall skills of a player.
A) Batting: Players improve almost equally in both their 'Batting vs Seam Bowlers' and 'Batting vs Spin Bowlers' skills.
B) Batting Seam: Players improve more in their 'Batting vs Seam Bowlers' skill than in their 'Batting Spin' skill.
C) Batting Spin: Similarly, Players improve more in their 'Batting vs Spin Bowlers' skill than in their 'Batting Seam' skill
Bowling Training
Bowling Seam:
Every Seam bowler who bowls during the week's matches will improve significantly in his 'Main Bowling' Skill and slightly in his 'Bowling Variation' skill.Your spinners will not receive any training. You receive 12 overs worth of training per match.A bowler receives training proportional to the number of overs he bowls during the week (in both the matches). For example, if Bowler A bowls 2 overs and Bowler B bowls 4 overs, Bowler B receives twice as much training as Bowler A.
A bowler can receive a maximum of 4 overs worth of training every week. For example, if Bowler A bowls 4 overs in the first match and 3 more in the second match, he still receives only 4 overs worth of training. If your seam bowlers bowl more than 12 overs in a match then training is shared among all the bowlers proportional to the number of overs they bowled. The sum of the training received by these bowlers remains the same as 3 bowlers bowling 12 overs.Hence, bowling training is optimized for 3 bowlers bowling 12 overs in a match.
An optimized training regime will consist of 6 young bowlers, 3 playing each match during the week and bowling 4 overs.
B) Bowling Spin: Similar to above, but all spinners receive training instead of seamers.
C) Bowling Variation:
All bowlers who bowl during the 2 matches receive training proportional to the number of overs they bowl, irrespective of bowler type.A bowler can receive a maximum of 4 overs worth of training every week. For example, if Bowler A bowls 4 overs in the first match and 3 more in the second match, he still receives only 4 overs worth of training.Players improve in both their 'Main Bowling' and 'Bowling Variation' skills.Improvement in 'Main Bowling' skill is much less compared to 'Bowling Spin' or 'Bowling Seam' training.
Improvement in 'Bowling Variation' skill is slightly more compared to 'Bowling Spin/Seam' training.
Training 'Bowling variation' improves the overall bowling ability of a player at a slower rate than 'Bowling Spin/Seam'. However, you can train more players with this training focus.
An optimized training regime will consist of 10 young bowlers, 5 playing each match during the week and bowling 4 overs each.
